Belgrade in June

Belgrade is one of the centers of Balkan culture, place where different traditions collide. “The white city” as literal translation says, was destroyed many times in history, and rebuilt all over again, and as a result emerged with a strong, unique spirit which can be seen in its landmarks and more than all people who walk through its streets everyday. Hospitality is one of the first things you will learn about Serbs. Belgrade definitely is a city worth visiting and Belgrade in June is worth experiencing! Take your passports and enjoy our city as much as we do.

Probably even before your arrival, you will hear about Belgrade’s nightlife. End of May and beginning of Jun is period of a year when summer clubs HAVE BIG openings. Belgrade Summer Clubs are mostly located on rivers, and we call them Splavs. There are several areas in the city, “party zones” where all of these “floating clubs” are located, and variety is HUGE. Each night you can choose between mainstream scene and underground scene. Mainstream parties start at midnight and last until 5 am, then it is time for some of underground places that are known for the best after parties!

Besides partying, Belgrade in June is good for relaxation, chilling and cruising around. Weather is amazing in June, warm, but still not too hot. One of the places, where you can enjoy having ice cream and hanging around is Kalemegdan park and fortress. Located right in the city center, it’s perfect to take a long walk, enjoy the view to Danube and Sava collapsing to one another, the view to the New Belgrade and Zemun. The Kalemegdan Park contains the “Cvijeta Zuzorić” Pavilion, the ZOO, children’s park and a number of monuments,  several sports courts, a museum, bunch of cafés and restaurants. It is one of the city’s most important landmarks.

Knez Mihailova Street is the main street and main pedestrian and shopping area in Belgrade. This is one of the best places to feel the pulse of the city through the constant buzz of people walking around. It is home to many both national and international institutes, as, Serbian Academy of Science, Goethe Institute. The architecture in the streets of Belgrade is a mixture of many different styles influenced with east and west trough the past centuries.

When days are  super hot, you will enjoy at Ada Ciganlija lake. Amazing Ada is located only 15 minutes away from the city center, and it has a perfect mix of culture and nature. This peninsula, rich with oak and elm forests, has become one of the most popular tourist attractions for its natural riches, variety of sports and numerous restaurants. It is a place for enjoyment, rest, recreation and entertainment. Ada has several restaurants and bars where you can just enjoy the warm June Sun, but also can offer SUP boarding expirience, water – skiing, sports fields, bungee jumping, renting roller blades or bicycles, rowing, kayak, windsurfing, having fun in water walking balls and pedal boats… and those are only some activities that you will find over there.

One of the places that are a MUST VISIT in June, is Beton Hala. It is the pedestrian area, located in the city center with some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. Here you can enjoy your meal along with a great view to the river. During winter it is also a party zone since several winter clubs are located right overt there.

Belgrade is a city that can offer a lot. It is made for everyone’s taste. Jun might be just the perfect time to visit it and see it all!

Don’t forget that in June, Belgrade is crowded with tourists. Bars, Clubs and restaurants are busy, and it can be really hard to get in. You have to get your name on the guest list before you head off to the Belgrade Venues.

Keep smiling and party hard while in Belgrade.
