Greece is located at the crossroads of Europe, Asia, and Africa. How to Greece by plane?

Plane is the most comfortable option, and it takes only a few hours of flight to get pretty much everywhere in Greece. Note that Belgrade is very well connected to all the parts of Greece, which makes flying even a better option. You can take plane to capital – Athens, but also to other very popular tourist destinations as Thessaloniki, Corfu, Rhodes, Santorini, Zakynthos Island, Mykonos, Skiathos, Samos, etc. Options are endless! Flying will definitely save your time for exploring all the treasures made by man and nature over the centuries. Although, this is a pretty convenient option for many reasons, have in mind that it is also the most expensive one, and most limiting one, too – in a sense that it sets boundaries to one place only.

How to Greece by night train?

There is one train line daily, from Belgrade to Athens through Thessaloniki. It departures from Belgrade each day in late post midnight hours, and arrives to Athens in approximately 20 hours – which makes this option definitely one of the least favorites! Another con is that it is also pretty limiting, since there are no “tour breaks” to visit and see Thessaloniki on the way to the capital. Have in mind that trains are half modern, pretty basic, but very comfortable. The main reason some of the people go up for this one is the price! Also note that if you are a student, you will have a 10-15% discount on the ticket! So, if you are looking to save some money, but still enjoy Greece, this one is for you definitely!
