Museum of Contemporary Art
Building is in the New Belgrade, on the left bank of River Sava, across the Belgrade Fortress. Museum was built in 1958. with primary goal to supervise the development of contemporary art in Yugoslavia. The building is recently reopened after a long reconstruction. The collection in the museum counts around 8000 works. It represents the vital collection of Yugoslav modern art.
Museum of Science and Technology
The main building is in the lower part of Dorćol. You can visit a research center and a lot of interesting exhibits – first cameras, old computers, instruments and machines gathered by various donors. There is a part of the museum especially for children in the ground level, where is located 150 different exhibits/toys from 1920. until 1970.
Historical Museum of Serbia
Museum is in the city center, close to the Parliament, with a lot of different exhibitions about history of Serbia and the Serbian culture. You can also find material evidence of the other cultures that inhabited these region from Middle Ages to modern times.
Museum of Natural History
Natural History Museum in Belgrade is one of the oldest Serbian national institutions. In Serbia, the only museum of its kind, a wealth and diversity of specimens, the results achieved in the field of museology and science is one of the leading natural history museums in Southeastern Europe. It was officially founded in 1895. The temporary space is kept natural and cultural heritage of the 117 natural history collections, with approximately 1,500,000 various items from Serbia, the Balkan Peninsula, but also around the world. In their exhibition you will find: the mineralogical and petrological, fossil and recent collections of mollusks, insects, birds, mammals, as well as the General Herbarium of Balkan peninsula, which have great scientific value and the museum. The Natural History Museum has one of the oldest and richest professional libraries in the Balkans. The Natural History Museum has a permanent exhibition and also a exhibition of activities, promotions, presentations and conferences take place in the Gallery at Kalemegdan. Instructional propaganda department of the museum has an intensive cooperation with numerous schools in Serbia, with children of all ages.
